About South Asian Link
Background
The South Asian Link was established in Singapore in October 2009 to facilitate networking for a bourgeoning and increasingly connected global South Asian diaspora network. It seeks to position Singapore as an attractive cultural, educational and business hub for the South Asian Diaspora worldwide.
Mission
The South Asian Link shall facilitate the networking of the international South Asian diaspora in Singapore through the organisation of regular educational, social and cultural activities.
Key Activities:
The South Asian Link shall undertake the following activities:
- Develop links with the global South Asian diaspora and maintain a network of active participants among the South Asian communities in different parts of the world;
- Build a database of South Asian communities, organisations and prominent individuals all over the world;
- Organise regular social and cultural activities for networking and for the promotion of the South Asian culture and heritage;
- Organise international conferences and workshops on issues and developments in the South Asian diaspora; and
- Disseminate periodic newsletters on news and developments relevant to the South Asian diaspora.
